Set in the Scottish Highlands, Gaetano Donizetti’s dramatic opera Lucia di Lammermoor is the tragedy of a woman driven to murder and madness due to family rivalry, full of passion, drama and thrilling arias.  A production of Lyric Opera of Chicago, it features internationally acclaimed singers Albina Shagimuratova in the title role, and Piotr Beczala, conducted by Enrique Mazzola.

A poignant and spirited musical portrayal of the legendary Don Quixote, the endearing and idealistic self-styled Spanish knight devoted to chivalry, inspired by the classical novel by Miguel de Cervantes.  This production of Lyric Opera of Chicago, features the renowned bass Ferruccio Furlanetto in the title role, and is conducted by Sir Andrew Davis.

Mozart’s final opera, in the form of a singspiel, is a delightful fairy tale in which allegory and symbolism drive a search for wisdom and triumph over treachery, set to enchanting music.  This production of Lyric Opera of Chicago features Christiane Karg, Matthew Polenzani and Kathryn Lewek as the Queen of the Night, and is conducted by Rory Macdonald.

In this tragic opera that takes place during ancient times, the high priestess Norma forsakes her vows and sacrifices her life for secular love.  This masterpiece of bel canto remains a staple in operatic repertoire, and includes the popular aria Casta Diva.  A production of Lyric Opera of Chicago, it is conducted by Riccardo Frizza, with acclaimed soprano Sondra Radvanovsky in the title role, along with Elizabeth DeShong and Russell Thomas.
